I created this site when I realized how often I was referring friends and co-workers to Linode's VPS Services. Many times I was answering the same questions over and over again. Along with this I knew that Linode did all of its advertising through word of mouth and that if I referred people to their site I could get a credit that could be used for future hosting. This kind of referal system makes sense to me. The only value to this credit is if I actually use Linode's VPS services - which is exactly what I do.
